I’m trying to do the impossible…trying to eat dinner with Hunger on Comcast’s OnDemand on my tv.  Actually, as much as I love the guys all over the movie, I usually pay more attention when Michael is on the screen.

It’s an impossible task.

Every time I think I’ve squeezed out Google news alerts for news on Michael, I get a bunch of little things here and there and then something big blows.

The biggest news this week is that Michael is in talks to play Rochester in Jane Eyre.

I’m so excited!  I really hope that it goes through.  Please!!!

Months ago, actually last year, Michael was in talks to play Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights.  I don’t remember reading that story, and was going to do so, when I had heard about the project.

I will still read it one day…but I'm so busy writing.

I remember reading Jane Eyre in 9th grade.  I remember watching the movie.  I remember actually liking the story.

I have a little more knowledge about the story, although a good rereading would do me.

And with all this updating I’ve been doing about Jane Eyre, Michael needs to do it…or all my work today and so on, will be a waste...lol!  I’m typing my poor fingers off the bone.

Just today, I posted about Jane Eyre, IB contest, Blood Creek’s dvd box, 300 review, Fish Tank reviews, then added quotes to over 18 section, press quotes, quotes about Jane Eyre.  It was one of those ‘all day’ deals.

And who knows when it will stop.

But I keep really busy all the time.  Thank goodness.  Gives me something to do when my family take my car for days on end.

The news about Jane Eyre came late last night, around 8 pm my time and then the rest of the movie press took off with it all night.

It’s nice to see Twitter and Google news full of Michael’s name and picture.

Of course, one of my favorite pictures is resurfacing:

I'm presuming that people are putting this up as the closest thing to a character Michael has played in a romantic drama.

I don't mind.  I love the picture.  I had it as my wallpaper, had it as one of the main pages for my own site for Michael's work.  I think I even had it as a cell screen saver.

It's just one of those beautiful pictures.

The first news we got was that actually Michael was already cast as Rochester, last Thursday, 12th.  The news now is that he's in talks.

I really hope it's a go.  Michael needs a good romantic film to capture the hearts of many fans who are on the fence, and gather more fans.

We just want to be here for them.  We are ready.

Lastly, the title of this week's blog comes from movies.ie.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, they posted an article about "Six things to be grateful in 2009".  One of the things---of course, was Michael.

The rise and rise of Michael Fassbender

Fassbender was until lately one of those familiar faces who pop up in television drama; you know the face but can't place him. Well we're glad to say that's no longer the case. Having come to widespread attention in last year's Hunger, Fassbender found himself with the Hollywood A list in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and in critically acclaimed British indie Fish Tank. Having put in two of the best performances of the year, he's definitely one to watch out for in the future.
